Artificial Intelligence in Radiation Oncology
I’ve had the privilege of conducting research under Yi Wang, PhD, DABR, who leads the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence in Radiation Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital. We collaborated in evaluating the accuracy and efficiency of a deep-learning neural network algorithm which contours target volumes and organs at risk for prostate cancer radiation treatment planning. I was given the task of analyzing the algorithm’s pilot trial data obtained at a satellite hospital. My abstract was accepted by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) for presentation at the ASTRO Annual Meeting in October 2022. As first author, I created the poster and presented it at the conference in Texas. The abstract was then published in the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics, Volume 114, Issue 3. Linked below are both the poster and the abstract.
