Christine Chiodo
Vice-Chair, Science Teacher
Christine Chiodo is a dedicated science teacher with over 25 years experience in public education. She has a Master’s Degree of Science in Teaching and is passionate about developing an interactive and systems-based approach to learning the biological sciences. She encourages students to build meaningful connections with the natural world, think creatively, and use hands-on and collaborative approaches to problem solving. She describes a great day in the classroom as the controlled chaos of student interaction, engagement, and fun.

Thanai Papageorgiou
Thanai is a senior in high school with a love for math and science, and a passion for sharing this with others. In addition, after school, she does crew in the fall and spring and swims competitively in the winter, as well as co-founding an engineering club at her high school. For fun, she enjoys crocheting, playing the classical guitar, and spending time with friends and family.

Komal Jasuja
Komal is a high school junior with an interest in science and math and is passionate about making this knowledge accessible for everyone. Additionally, she is a co-president of a club for healthcare careers, swims and rows competitively, and likes to build cool things. For fun, she enjoys sewing and traveling to new places.

Leah Berger
Leah is a high school senior with a strong interest in biological anthropology. She’s passionate about sharing scientific knowledge and aspires to engage in meaningful research that benefits the scientific community. Outside the classroom, Leah is active in theater , competitive skiing, and track and field. She also leads the literary magazine club and the debate team. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and running.

Mahika Gandla
Mahika is a high school junior passionate about science and using innovation in STEAM to make a positive impact. She enjoys combining creativity with problem-solving, exploring ideas across subjects, along with expressing them through her art. Outside of the classroom, Mahika swims competitively, rows in the spring, and is a co-president of her school’s aspiring healthcare professions club. She also loves traveling, seeking new adventures, and spending time with her dog.

Anjali Misra
Anjali is a junior in high school with a love for biology, sustainability, and making a positive impact. Outside of academics, Anjali is a competitive swimmer and rower, while also leading a healthcare-focused club alongside friends. With a love for animals, especially her dog, Anjali values family and friends, finding joy in spending quality time with them.
